Our mission supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11. Our big vision is o educate children to eat healthy and live sustainably
In April 2022, I had the opportunity to join the Carbon 13 Climate Accelerator Programme in Cambridge.
Here I met my co-founder and CTO Tomas Sako, a brilliant Data Scientist and AI expert, and together we founded Foodymize, a tech platform that reduces hospitality food waste and helps communities live sustainably.
Up to 500,000 Tonnes of Food is wasted in UK hospitality every year. Of this 45% of the food is created but not served- which is entirely avoidable. This food creates 50 Metric Tonnes of Co2e every year. Foodymize is co-creating a process with hospitality to transform this excess food to packaged Frozen Ready Meal in the restaurant premises at the end of each day, this food will then be stored on site and made available via the Foodymize app for local residents (within the 5 mile radius) at a reduced price who can then pick it up from the restaurant at their convenience.
Our mission directly supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 11. The business model is highly scalable through the deployment of the software and participation of local hospitality and communities – and estimated to reduce 10+ Million Tonnes of carbon annually. Our big vision is to directly work with communities to educate children to eat sustainably and live a healthy lifestyle
